sURROUND LIVE

Surround Live is about exploring the capabilities of having a band perform live onstage with audio that surrounds the audience.

My goal is to “create a living, breathing soundscape that engages the audience on a deeper level, making the surround performance unique and unforgettable.”

My major project is a live gig featuring the integration of surround sound. The band I have chosen for this gig is BadTab, whose music combines many diverse soundscapes. I aim to create a dynamic, immersive experience with them live on stage. The gig will take place on October 12th at Te Kohure.

There are some videos below on the gig. Unfortunately the camera audio was a bit iffy and my multitrack record failed. It was a successful night exploring the capabilities of surround sound. One person even commented “I can’t believe more people are not here, this is a cool experience people are missing out on”.
